A 5-star experience! We arrived at about 5:10PM on a Saturday evening and were able to be seated in the secondary dining room, but we'll definitely make a reservation next time; the place was already teeming. The bread/biscuits were served piping hot to begin. We order the mozzarella squares for an appetizer....have never had fried mozz served in this way before, and with plenty of flavorful and chunky marinara sauce. Once again served piping hot (when our excellent server Heather Jane was not readily available to serve anything, one of her teammates did so to ensure hotness/freshness), and a great start! My wife ordered the Italian Tour pasta with marinara, and I ordered the cheese ravioli. I asked to substitute meat sauce for the default marinara for a slight upcharge (off menu), no problem. Once again, both entrees were served piping hot and in plentiful portions (we took the leftovers home for another meal), and delicious! We left room for dessert and ordered the cannoli (which my wife reported is the first good cannoli she's had anywhere this side of La Bella Ferrara in Little Italy NYC...high praise), and I had the chocolate-shell-covered spumoni ice cream. Once again, 5 stars! Heather Jane reported to us that the owner is also the chef, and he and the team obviously take a lot of pride in their food and the experience. We never felt rushed even though there was a wait by the time we proceeded with our meal. We will certainly return, and high recommend!
Birthday dinner. The place is small, so without a reservation, you may wait a while.. staff is very friendly. Food is excellent. This place is out of the way, but worth the wait and drive. Ive never been to Italy, but I imagine it would be like La Bellas. Highly recommend the garlic knots to start with.
Can I give more than 5 stars? This place is amazing, I can't describe my surprise on how good my experience was. We started with some sangrias and calamari, that was the best calamari I had in my life. I ordered the pork ossobuco, the portion is huge the food was very flavorful the meat was coming of the bone... delicious . Hubby ordered seafood serafino, also huge portion, and flavorful. Service was excellent. For sure we will be back for more!
Great choices access the board. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. A very intimate, upscale and laid back vibe. Not pretentious at all even though they would be totally justified if they were. Also, dont judge the place by the outside appearance of the building. Its typical for the area, sort of a 70's look. However, the decor has that "really nice restaurant" feel. Classic and comfortable, but definitely not dated. We're new to the area, and can I see this as becoming one of our favorite places that we'll go to regularly. It has that rare combination of really great food. an equally enjoyable atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Overall, Just a lovely experience. After just two visits, it has become our favorite restaurant in the area.
What a great little spot near the beach. I've driven by it so many times and never stopped. I'm very grateful that I got a chance to stop tonight. The service was absolutely impeccable, friendly, prompt, everything you would expect. The food was better than I expected. I love eggplant parmesan but normally you need so much extra cheese because people don't know how to season it. I did not need extra cheese with this eggplant. I can't wait to try more of their great offerings.
Came here for dinner last night craving some Italian and they did not disappoint. The bread was light and crispy, the fried mozzarella appetizer was fantastic, and the pasta I chose was delicious! I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area. Was a cozy little spot
I absolutely love coming here, especially with my husband. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots, and honestly, it never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, the service is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel taken care of without being overbearing. Everything comes out the way it should, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The food is some of the best I have had in a while, and that is not something I say lightly. You can tell there is care put into every plate, and it shows. It is the kind of place where you sit back, take a bite, and just smile because it hits the spot exactly right. We always leave happy and already talking about when we are coming back. This place really is the bee’s knees, and I am so glad we finally made it part of our regular rotation. Highly recommend if you are looking for consistently good food and a great experience.
